Central Park Children's Zoo- New York, New York

This musical clock above the southern entrance to the Central Park Children's Zoo really attracts a crowd. Above the clock are two bronze monkeys with hammers that strike a bell every hour, while a fanciful parade of musical animals circle below. The figures include a bear shaking a tambourine, a kangaroo and its offspring blowing a horn, an elephant squeezing an accordian, a goat playing the pipes of Pan, a hippopotamus stroking a violin, and a penguin drumming. This animated bunch rotates to the tune of nursery rhymes, 52 in all. A shorter performance occurs on the half hour.
