Franklin Place - Pella, Iowa

Designed especially for Pella, this Glockenspiel gives two presentations during each of its four daily performances, one on each side of the arch. Music comes from a 147-bell carillon. At the top of the arch are five bronze bells, cast in Holland, which toll the hour and play the Westminster chimes. During the Christmas season, a special set of figures relate the Dutch legend of Sinterklaas (Santa Claus) while the carillon bells fill the air with Christmas music.
